A new police station will have a playground inside the prison cell

After many debates, demonstrations and detentions, the police have finally reached a solution regarding the problem of the Lebutala playground.
“We realized that we simply couldn’t deprive the children of Kalabazar like this, so we decided to turn one of our new prison cells into a playground!” said the officer in charge Md Khel Bona.
Protesting parents and children looked visibly confused after the announcement.
“Kids get the best of both worlds, just like Hannah Montana,” Bona said. “They can play as much as they want, and we will monitor their activities at all times, win-win.”
The police have already sent an official letter for the project to the relevant ministry. They plan to purchase a number of playground toys and equipment, including swings, seesaws, lifeguards and slides.
The total budget for the play area turned into a prison cell will be Tk 568 crore, or as the kids say, a gazillion. Costs may increase after completion of the feasibility study.
A team of officers will receive overseas training on how to play tag, musical chairs and choir policing. This will require an additional Tk 419 crore.
Meanwhile, reporters questioned Bona about putting a minor behind bars for protesting. Bona replied, “You stupid reporters got it wrong. We only asked for the miner’s help in deciding whether or not our playground plan will work. It was just a role play.”
The return minister hailed the initiative, saying the idea can be implemented in police stations across the country. “I’m going to hug the officer who made this up. We want a people-friendly police force. It doesn’t get any friendlier than this.”
Protesters, however, still haven’t bought into the idea, but police have said they will take action against those who don’t play in the police station.
“Keeping our playground empty will mean preventing the police from carrying out their duties of ensuring a fun time for everyone,” Bona said.
