Hidden Hills winery totals $ 13.8 million – Daily News

A two-story mansion in Hidden Hills with a wine-growing area has been put on the market for $ 13.75 million.
Perched atop a 1.5 acre hillside lot, the gated house opens to a two story entrance hall with a grand staircase leading to the master suite. There are eight bedrooms, 10 baths and 11,320 square feet of living space finished with custom woodwork and wood and carpeted floors.
Additional accommodation includes a self-catering guest house and a separate guest apartment.
The vendors are Susan and Bill Hayes of Wish Vineyards. Their turnkey winery grows Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes and can produce around 300 cases per year, as they told HauteResidence.com.
A team of contracted wineries tends the vines and harvests the grapes, which the buyer can go on, they added.
The vineyard shares the well-maintained grounds with a swimming pool and spa, an outdoor dining terrace and two barbecue stations.
From this bucolic setting rises the main house clad in red bricks with white fittings. Inside, it has a gourmet kitchen with professional grade appliances and a functional center island.
A bar with sink serves as the centerpiece of the great room, which features a custom-made fireplace, wood paneling and beamed ceilings.
Fireplaces anchor several rooms, including the dining room, family room and library.
Frontgate Real Estate’s Jeff Biebuyck and Dana Omes share the list.
