Serial deld burglar in Delhi, Olympic medal among recovered items

NEW DELHI:Delhi police have arrested a serial burglar and recovered a stockpile of stolen items from his possession, including an Olympiad silver medal.
The accused was identified as Saurabh alias Bholu (23), a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi.
Further details, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), Shankar Choudhary said that in view of the increase in burglary incidents, a dedicated team has been formed to tackle street crime.
On Tuesday, while a police team was present near the BDO office, a report was received that a burglar, who has committed numerous burglaries and purse robberies, will be heading towards the Rao Rishal Singh Marg on a stolen motorcycle, DCP said.
As a result, a raid team was formed which apprehended the accused. A stolen electric induction was also found hanging from the bike handle.
During his interrogation, the accused revealed the place where he had kept several stolen objects.
So far, police have recovered a gold necklace, a pair of gold bracelets, a pair of silver anklets, five silver coins, a National Science Olympiad silver medal, two credit/debit card, Maxima wristwatch, ACER laptop, laptop charger, JIO cellphone, BOAT headset, Samsung earphone, 51 inch LED TV, plaintiff’s handbag, Bajaj Pulsar bicycle and an iron scissor.
Sustained questioning revealed that the accused had also unsuccessfully attempted to rob a branch of the SBI in Delhi.
